And here’s your history lesson for today, friends. May 1st also happens to be the 50th Anniversary of the first Target store! Born out of The Dayton Company in Minneapolis, MN, the store was created as a “new idea in discount stores.” 1962 was also the same year that Walmart and Kmart opened doors.
